Infant and Toddler Curriculum

A Place to Grow uses a theme-based
curriculum, which changes monthly,  to guide
the daily activities throughout the center.   A
set of words are chosen each month which
correspond to the monthly theme that
children will learn  in
American Sign Language, French, and
Spanish.

Curriculum includes science, math,
language arts, social studies, arts and
music, and physical education.  Learning will
be accomplished through many mediums,
including play, art, music, stories, and
directed learning opportunities.

Our teachers adapt the curriculum
accordingly to meet the needs of the
children in their care.

Curriculum and learning opportunities for
children are designed to meet
the NH Early Learning Guidelines which
focus on:

Physical development
Approaches to Learning
Creative Expression
Communication and Literacy
Development
Health and Safety
Cognitive Development

Early exposure to opportunities for learning within the seven NH Early Learning
Guidelines will help to prepare our students
for the more in
depth curriculum expectations, based on the
NH K-12 Curriculum
Frameworks, we have for children 3 and up.
Preschool, Pre-K, and Kindergarten

Our phonics and reading program uses
Starfall as the basis of the program.  We
have chosen this method because it meets
most of our education needs as a center is
engaging and readily available free of
charge to all families via the internet.  This
method allows us to bring technology into the
classroom.  Click here to go to

  The  Arts
Handwriting Without Tears

We are please to have begun
launching this program in our
preschool and pre-K/K
classrooms this year.  This is an
engaging multi-sensory approach
to teaching body awareness, letter
recognition, directionality,
handwriting, and so much more.
The kids love it and we hope you
do to!
