Meet Your Teachers

Miss Lisa

Miss LisaLead Teacher

Miss Lisa has an Associate's degree in Science with a focus on Speech and Language Development.  She has worked as a paraprofessional in the public school for over  years.  She is excited about developing curriculum that meets the needs of individual children in her classroom and having the flexibility to incorporate nature into learning opportunities.

Mr Sean

Mr SeanAssistant Teacher

Mr Sean has been a stay at home father and raised is premature twins.  Mr Sean volunteers for his church, participates in youth programming through the church, and helps with the food pantry.  He began as a volunteer for a year and transitioned to an assistant teacher in the classrooms and has become an integral part of our school.

It is important for young children to be in a consistent routine. After all, they can’t tell time, so they know what time it is based on a sequence of events. We make every effort to follow a consistent routine so children can anticipate the next activity.

Daily activities include:

  • Outdoor Exploration

  • Nap time
  • Two Snacks and Lunch
Curriculum

Curriculum

Curriculum and learning opportunities for children are designed to meet the NH K-12 Curriculum Frameworks.

The lead teacher develops a curriculum based on the monthly theme. There is an individual curriculum goal identified each week, which is reinforced by a book of the week, individual projects, and Handwriting Without Tears® practice.

In Pre-K and K:

  • Letter recognition and fluency
  • Phonological and phonemic awareness
  • Sight word recognition
  • Environmental print
  • Math concepts include:
    • Developing a concrete understanding of the numbers 1-100
    • Sorting
    • Classifying
    • Shapes
    • Patterns

  • Social studies include:
    • Home
    • Neighborhood

  • Body awareness
  • Large and fine motor development (including handwriting)
